| Administrative History or Biography | O Atlas dos Remanescentes Florestais da Mata Atlântica é uma iniciativa da Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica em convênio com o Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) iniciada em 1989. Este trabalho tem o objetivo de determinar a distribuição dos remanescentes da Mata Atlântica, monitorar as alterações da cobertura vegetal nativa e gerar informações permanentemente atualizadas sobre o bioma. Foi um projeto pioneiro para monitorar a situação da vegetação nativa de um bioma no Brasil. | |||
